At this time there's no change - you can still go through the Authorization Wizard on your Account and if that gives you troubles or there are special circumstances, just write to auth@splutterfish.com as you have in the past. If/when the exact details change, we'll make a separate post on it

The beta program for our cross platform ray tracing API will start within the next couple weeks. We're working with a small group of developers first, so that we fully understand and insure that everyone has a good experience with it. Then we will formally announce and allow any developer to try it.

Thanks for the update on the API testing Alex, but I think most users here are looking for information specific to Brazil.

Thanks Eric. They're all intertwined. While mostly favorable to Brazil, you may have read the 3D World article http://www.3dworldmag.com/page/3dwor...y_need_another that mentioned one of Brazil's weakness was no SDK. The Caustic ray tracing API is the fundamental component necessary for us to finally address this issue.

I have seen the issue, and the article. That is good to hear. Any more information like this that you could share would be valuable to us existing, and future, Brazil customers.

Does imply that we'll be able to write CausticGL shaders by hand and Brazil will render them in Max?

I have seen the article in 3dworldmag today - nothing to get excited about imo, you see this kind of articles pop out every now and then.
Something I'd certainly get excited about though is that announcement regarding Brazil and the direction it will take in the future. Please, don't forget us. |

I dont think we will be forgotten. THough i am increasingly concerned about the future of Brazil and its implentation as a rendering engine.
Is there a major development/conpany direction which will happen to splutterfish/caustic? Im about to invest in more licenses but concerned about developmetns adn support over teh coming year
