Intel's i7 - advice?

I'm currently planning to get some new PCs and to upgrade my tiny farm. I think it's the best option to go with i7 CPUs but I'm not sure since I've read about issues, specifically with rendering, where buckets would render differently.
Anyone here experiencing similar issues with i7 being used with Brazil or max in general? Thanks for your input.

Just bought a dual processor machine which uses Zeon X5560s (I think this is the same architechture as the i7 you mention) So far I've had no problems, it's really fast and it's cool to see 16 buckets on the screen.
